What We Believe

We believe in one God,  maker of heaven and earth, and eternally existent as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

We believe the Bible is the Word of God and without error.  We believe in its authority for conduct, belief, and practice.

We believe in the Triune God, the deity of Jesus Christ, the Son, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His sacrificail death on the cross, that He rose bodily from the grave, ascended into heaven, and will return to earth in power and glory; and the Person of the Holy Spirit dwelling and enabling each born again Christian to live for God and to serve Him.

We believe that people were created in the image of God with emotions, intellect and the freedom of choice.

We believe that through Adam all people obtained a sin nature and are now sinners by birth and by choice, deserving eternal punishment in hell but also offeered the grace of God to give them eternal salvation through the work of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died so that people may be eternally saved from the wrath of God, be forgiven of sin, be declared right with God (justified), and be reconciled to God.  He died, was buried, rose again and is ascended to heaven to provide us this salvation as a free gift of His grace to any one of us who will believe in Him by faith.

We believe there is a literal heaven and hell. One is the eternal home of those who accepted Jesus, that other is the eternal result of those who have rejected Him.

We believe that a New Testament church is a local body of baptized believers, organized for worship, service, and the spread of the Gospel through out the world. We believe in home and foreign missions.

We believe the two ordinances of the church are baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper; they are representations of the Lord’s death, burial to the old life of sin, and the resurrection to a new life of service for the believer.

We believe in the personal, immanent and literal return of Jesus Christ for His church to take her as His Bride to heaven; this return is prior to God's restoration of the Jewish nation and Christ's Kingdom on earth to be established over the world.
